The Switch House is Cescaphe’s newest venue, located at The Battery along the Delaware River in Fishtown. What was once the PECO power plant, supplying electricity to Philadelphia beginning in the 1920s, is now one of the city’s most unique wedding venues, with historic industrial walls, black iron accents, three-tier chandeliers, Venetian-finish fireplaces and a floor-to-ceiling vintage mirrored bar. Ceremonies take place in front of a custom Venetian fireplace beside 20-foot iron windows, and receptions are held in the Ballroom, with sandblasted concrete walls and windows overlooking Penn Treaty Park. The on-site Switch House Hotel and its Stone & Webb Lounge can host welcome receptions, after-parties and send-off brunches.
