The Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade
Thursday, November 26, 2026
Philadelphia’s annual 6abc Dunkin’ Thanksgiving Day Parade returns for its 107th year, bringing marching bands, giant balloons, colorful floats, and musical performances to the streets of Center City.
As the nation’s oldest Thanksgiving Day parade, it’s a Philadelphia tradition that marks the unofficial beginning of the holiday season.
It’s also a reminder of something Philly does particularly well: bringing people together through music, entertainment, and shared experiences.
Winter at Dilworth Park
Beginning November 13, 2026
Located alongside City Hall, Dilworth Park is another centerpiece of Philadelphia’s holiday celebrations.
The Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink returns, along with the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market, offering a seasonal gathering spot in the heart of Center City. See Winter at Dilworth Park details.
Between the shopping, skating, lights, and atmosphere, the area provides plenty of inspiration for winter-themed corporate events and holiday celebrations.
Philadelphia’s Holiday Tree Lighting
Thursday, December 3, 2026
Philadelphia’s official holiday tree lighting at City Hall is another major seasonal highlight.
The celebration brings a festive atmosphere to Center City, traditionally featuring music and holiday activities as the city lights its towering Christmas tree.
If there’s one thing Philadelphia’s public celebrations demonstrate, it’s that music and atmosphere can transform a gathering into an experience.
Planning a Philadelphia Corporate Holiday Party in 2026?
Philadelphia’s holiday celebrations are exciting, but they also mean November and December can be especially busy months for event venues, restaurants, and entertainment professionals.
Whether you’re coordinating a small office gathering or a company-wide holiday bash, the right planning makes all the difference.
Choose a Venue That Fits Your Party
Philadelphia and its surrounding suburbs offer plenty of options for corporate celebrations, from upscale ballrooms and hotel event spaces to restaurants, bars, and private event venues.
Before choosing your location, consider the type of experience you want to create.
Are you planning a cocktail reception where employees can mingle? A formal awards dinner? Or a high-energy party with a packed dance floor?
The venue should complement the experience, not limit it.
Don’t Let Entertainment Be an Afterthought
A great location and good food are important, but entertainment often determines whether guests stay engaged or start checking the time.
A professional Philadelphia event DJ does more than play a playlist.
The right DJ reads the crowd, handles transitions, makes announcements, and creates a musical experience that keeps the evening moving naturally.
At Smooth Event Group, we believe every celebration deserves its own personality. That means tailoring the entertainment to the people in the room, whether it’s a sophisticated company cocktail hour or a full-scale holiday dance party.
Create an Experience, Not Just an Event
The best holiday parties give guests something to talk about long after the evening ends.
Consider combining your DJ entertainment with live musicians, custom lighting, or interactive experiences.
A saxophonist playing alongside a DJ can add energy to a dance floor. A photo booth gives coworkers a fun way to capture the evening. Lighting can turn an otherwise ordinary event space into an entirely different environment.
And with professional event content creation, those memorable moments can live on through photos and social media.
Why Philadelphia Holiday Parties Need the Right DJ
Philadelphia has a distinct personality when it comes to nightlife and celebrations.
This is a city that loves its sports teams, its music, its traditions, and any excuse to get together and have a good time.

Celebrate the Holidays, Philly Style
Between Christmas Village, the Thanksgiving Day Parade, festive winter attractions, and the countdown to the new year, Philadelphia’s 2026 holiday calendar is packed with opportunities to celebrate.
But you don’t have to attend a massive public event to create something memorable.
Sometimes all it takes is the right people, the right music, and an atmosphere that brings everyone together.
